    Cardiff v Reading

What a poor match. Cardiff more likely to score, bad news for us if they do. Reading are shocking, take Carroll out and they're L1 at best.
They were talking about Carrolls presence against us on Tuesday. More or less said, "what the feck were our defence trying to do to stop him"?

Agreed. That we failed to beat them is worrying. Doubt we will play anybody as bad in the rest of the season.

    ................... another nail....

    How poor were Reading?...ffs....

On the rare occassion Reading had a set piece, the Cardiff defence wrestled with Carroll and gave him no room..............unlike us.

    FT 1-0
Cardiff are a lucky team. Reading are shocking. Luck is not on our side right now but we will never have a better chance to stay up.

Two poor sides and the the double deflected goal summed up the quality of the match.

    Pos ..... Pl ....... G/D ...... Pts .... Team
    20 ...... 33 ...... -11 ....... 35 ..... Cardiff City
    21 ...... 31 ...... -08 ....... 33 ..... Rotherham United
    22 ...... 31 ...... -21 ....... 30 ..... Wigan Athletic
    23 ...... 31 ...... -14 ....... 28 ..... Huddersfield Town
    24 ...... 31 ...... -16 ....... 28 ..... Blackpool Fc

A 1-0 win for Cardiff City, with a goal in the 90+1 minute.
The 3 points give Cardiff City a cushion on the bottom 3 with the bluebirds 2 pts
in front of the Millers, but we have 2 games in hand on them.
Cardiff City 19 shots on goal 5 on target, Reading 5 shots on goal, none on target.

Daft as it sounds, could goal difference be the reason for staying up / going down.

If Reading are poor it doesn't say much for us.

GD could come into it - which is why we don't need any hammerings goal wise home or away.
    9 home games - 6 away - it's in our own hands.
Winning 5 home games may just help towards survival.
Now which 5 games can we win?? - 1-0 wins will do.

Tomorrow would be a good starting point, then it's only 4

Tbh I can't see us scoring 1 - yet football is very unpredictable - lose some we're expecting to win & win some we're expecting to lose. - draws at home are no good at this stage of the season.
Any away points will be a bonus.
