    Wout Watch

I have to say WW in our team, the way we are asking the 9 to play as a 10 would be absolutely incredible.

Some comments made by Utd fans after todays game.

Weghorst played in midfield today and won more tackles than anyone else. In the second half he was like a machine, winning the ball back and cutting out Leicester attacks on the transition. Every time Bruno, Sancho or Rashford lost the ball, Weghorst was straight in there to win it back. He recycled the ball so many times I actually lost count. He was also playing through balls for the forwards to run onto.

He was a beast today. He did exactly what Ten Hag asked him to do. The only way that we dominated that midfield, without Casemiro was because Weghorst was tracking back and making tackles. They couldn't get away from him.

Honestly think he'd be a 100m+ player if he could finish.

You know what, now I would pick him over Martial/Elanga or even Garnacho.

Martial never get fit, kind of lazy tracking back and now Rashy is in red hot form, his presence may harm our team.
Elanga - not United quality, he has a bit of everything but just not good enough.
Garnacho - He is much better as an impact sub, still has a lot to learn imho.

Since he joins we are in a winning run, didn't count but I think he at least start half of the games? His pressing save a lot of energy of Rashy so he concentrate on attacking runs, may be this is what ETH wants from him?

His finishing is ****e. But my goodness, his workrate and energy are insane. Not a bad passer as well. He’s our Mandzukic.

Enjoyed his performance and loved how he drew away a Leicester defender to open a huge gap for Sancho's goal.

I'm glad he seems to be enjoying it and working hard. He was getting a goal every other game in Turkey and enjoying the fan adulation so it's quite a reality shock for him but he's still doing well for us. You'd nearly always jump at the chance to test yourself at a higher level. He'll get some goals I feel.

At the game today unbelievable work rate on the lad. The goals will come.

    Spider - Horst
    Spider - Horst
Does whatever a spider - Horst does,
Can he score a fecking goal
    No he can’t, cos he’s a Horst.
Look out, he is a spider- Horst!

I watched the highlights, he's still running around like a headless chicken, no one is feeding him but he is having more impact. like others here i want him to score more goals to increase his value.

Indeed, we did well to get our money back, I always did wonder why Lyon seemed so relaxed about him leaving, now we know.

Weggy is not a headline maker like Rashford but he is one of those players who are invaluable to the team.I would imagine that he
would be disappointed if United don't sign him but with VK in charge and Burnley in the EPL next season who knows.Supporters may
initially not be keen but they are a fickle lot.It will be interesting to see what valuation Burnley put on him.

Manchester United are not expected to turn 30-year-old Netherlands striker Wout Weghorst's loan move from Burnley into a permanent switch during the summer transfer window. (Football Insider)

Could be Weggy will not get his dream move barrie. That will definitely put the horst amongst the pigeons for all of us.
