    Cherries on the Cake

The Liverpool machine which bundled 7 goals into the Manchester United net came unstuck on the South Coast as Bournemouth ran out 1-0 winners with Salah missing from the spot. Everton continued their mini revival under Dyche as an early McNeil strike dented the European qualification hopes of the Bees of Brentford. Sheffield United stumbled to a home defeat by Luton allowing Burnley to extend their lead at the top of the Championship to 13 points with 10 games of the season left. Middlesbrough in third place are a further 4 points behind but poised to take advantage of any further slips by the Blades. Lyle Foster came off the subs bench to replace Ashley Barnes in the second half against Wigan bagging his first Burnley goal. All those 2-0 predictions went up in smoke but congratulations Lyle.

I believe that is the first time we have completed a league double over Wigan and for the second time this season we go 16 league games unbeaten. Can we keep this run going at Hull?

It's a pity we didn't do the same with Blackpool. Hull don't have a lot to play for so hopefully another 3 points.
