Romared Match Thoughts Barnsley v Shrewsbury Town

I'm looking for us to shake off the gut wrenching defeat on Good Friday at Burton Albion and bounce back tomorrow afternoon .

Our hopes of automatic promotion took a real hammering but we've a play off place to cement which isn't mathematically secure by any means .

Let's not fall off a cliff on the back of a dog of a defeat at Burton .

Show back on the road please .

Despite the defeat at Burton, there's plenty of positives to take into the end of the season. While automatic is still mathematically possible we must go out to get the 3 points

Agreed Pass. The performance was actually good on Friday so that's a positive. We were just unlucky to be fair. There were too many long balls, as has been pointed out. Three points is required tomorrow and let's hope we get them to keep moving forward. Not expecting a walkover but get the early goal to settle us down and that should see us through to victory.

There seems to be a lot less marketing hype from Ahmad about let's fill Oakwell. wear your scarf, we are together etc for this fixture than recently. It's back to playing a less fashionable team on a rainy afternoon with few away fans and an attendance figure based on ST's sold rather than the number actually being there.
But the three points are worth just as much as those against Wednesday, Derby, Plymouth.

Back to the routine of an early goal or two, then game management with maybe a very late goal to add to the scoreline. This would suffice and be welcome to stop two defeats in the last three games extending to an official "blip" in form.

In Duff we trust but I'd have had Luke Thomas in for Philips .
