    Thanks for asking.

I’ll put this here because it’s the reality of life and reminds us all what is important. She had a stroke on Wednesday that took away her left side and her power of speech. She’s semi-comatose and can’t eat or drink because the swallow reflex has gone. She’s comfortable and free of pain and non-responsive. It’s obviously just a matter of time but crikey is she a fighter and she’s not going until she’s ready.

So, despite the waiting and the sadness life goes on. Football, dental appointments, eating, everything in and amongst being by her side.

Mum is 104 years, 9 months and 12 days and still counting.

I was thinking about your mum yesterday Griff but I didn't like to mention her incase she had passed, she sounds like a wonderful woman from what you've said about her previously and I said a prayer for her,I know that you don't believe but there's no harm in me having a word for you,104 years is a fantastic age to reach and we all would accept that if asked 🙏

For the sake of completion, Mum passed this morning around 8 a.m. A time for sadness and celebration and I’m keeping busy. Thanks for all your thoughts, they’ve been appreciated.

From your description of her it has been a life exceptionally well lived, with her being active for a greater proportion of it than most will achieve. Deepest sympathies from me on your loss.
