Nothing to you physically to make you work. They can though claim back any holiday pay from your final pay if use have used your full years holiday entitlement and not worked a full financial year.

Throw on the sick & ask if they will take this as your notice,it worked for me.

Isn’t this why most employers make you work a month or a week in advance before they pay you?
