Carlisle United v Stockport County, Brunton Park, League Two, 7:45pm Tue 18th April

This is the Simpson derby. Paul's son Jake is the Stockport County Head Of Performance. Paul managed Stockport County from 12th July 2010 to 4th January 2011.

Paul did not have a happy time at Stockport.

This is a must win to keep automatics an option and prevent slippage to 8 th.

Edmondson to start. I worry about Whelan.

That's it. Even if we win our last 3 matches to get to 81 points that will not be enough. Stevenage will certainly get to at least 82 from their remaining 4 matches. Of course if we can win our last 3 matches so can Stockport County. There is more chance that Frank will provide proof of his assertion that his specifically stated extraterrestrial aliens are amongst us than there is of Carlisle United finishing above 4th.

Mansfield Town are 3 points behind us and have 4 matches to play, we have 3. We are in a race to finish above 8th.

    Great game.

What a job Simmo has done this season with what he had to work with.

Unfortunately we are not quite good enough.

    But we will be.
