Leyton Orient, Northampton Town and Stevenage

Let's call it now, the current top 3 will be the top 3 at the end of the season.

Congratulations to Leyton Orient, they deserve to be champions, they have also played in a decent sporting spirit.

Congratulations to Northampton Town, they have been grinding it out consistently all season and have committed few sins.

But Stevenage fc is a different kettle of vermin altogether. Their actual football is not of a sufficiently high standard to merit 3rd place. They make up for such a lack by using various acts of gamesmanship, foul play and putting illegitimate pressure on match officials. In League One next season the Stevenage football will not be of League One standard but such acts of gamesmanship, foul play and putting illegitimate pressure on match officials may marginally be enough to retain League One status.

Carlisle United's team is vulnerable to the Stevenage routine despicable methods, which are, to some extent, carried out by some other teams but by no means as routinely wickedly as Stevenage. So what can Carlisle United do when faced with such evil? Pointing it out to match officials has got Paul Simpson warnings that to continue to make such complaints would get him 'carded' and of course the foul tactics continue and go unpunished. Should Carlisle United be prepared to combat any foul methods by resorting to similarly cynical methods?

Would rather give up watching football than watch them every week, never seen a team time wasting after 5 minutes as they did up here the other week.
