    Tuesday's games

Couple of big NL games tonight that will have a bearing on who we face in the playoffs - Boreham Wood at home to Gateshead and Woking at home to Halifax. If BW and Woking both win, that moves them into 5th and 3rd, respectively, ahead of the final games on Saturday. If those were then the final positions we'd be looking at these playoff quarterfinals next week:

    Chesterfield v Bromley
Barnet v Boreham Wood (the winner playing us in the semifinal on May 7)

Meanwhile, in League 2, Mansfield are at home to Leyton Orient. If they draw against already promoted Orient, they'll be in a playoff position with two games to go. Win and they'll move up to fourth, potentially only a point behind Stevenage (who also play tonight, away at Swindon).

Right now the only team outside the top 7 who could realistically make the playoffs is Southend. (Eastleigh would need to have a 14 goal swing as well as results going their way.) If BW don't lose tonight, that door closes and the top 7 will be set.

The top 9 is set, and don't play each other again this season.

Here are the possible positions as of now:
    2 - Notts
    3 - Chesterfield or Woking
    4 - Chesterfield or Woking
5 - Barnet or Boreham Wood
6 - Barnet, Boreham Wood or Bromley
7 - Boreham Wood, Bromley, Southend or Eastleigh

We'll either play Barnet or the team that beat Barnet (which as of today could be Boreham Wood or Bromley). By my reading, who Barnet plays can't be resolved tonight.

And I'll be watching Leeds Vs Leicester tonight in a hugggggeeeee relegation battle which will have a direct impact on F*rest.

Oh and then the small matter of Man Citeh Vs The Arsenal on the Wednesday both courtesy of BT sports. Must win for Arsenal now, and certainly can not afford to lose.

There is a possibility that all of Notts, Mansfailed and Derby will all make the playoffs.

Notts obviously guaranteed, Stags looking very likely with two easy games to finish and Derby with a good chance but two tough looking fixtures to finish their campaign.

Too late to edit. While this is true, where Barnet plays will be resolved if BW fail to win - Barnet will then secure 5th and be at home to 6th.

I'm gonna try and watch Woking V Halifax as I have a sneaking suspicion Woking might steal 3rd. They then play Moors on Sat who've not been in the best of form. Trouble is, some of the Nat League TV video coverage is really poor and barely worth watching, so my back up plan is also Leeds V Leicester. Not sure who I want to win though? Would a point apiece be the best outcome?

A draw or a Leicester win would do. They're then two points from safety rather than one.

It'll be better if C'field have to run the gauntlet, play Bromley and travel to Woking rather than have 1 game at home and be thinking about the final already.

The draw is the last result I want personally. I think both these sides are in huge trouble, so a win will be huge for either and be a big jump ahead of Forest. I would plump for a Leicester win being my preferred option.

Forest couldn't have timed playing an impressive Brighton side at home any better.

Whilst hoping it will prove to have no bearing on our fixture list next season, I've found the battle for the NL North title most intriguing. Fylde have to win away tonight to take matters into their own hands on the final day of the season to deny Kings Lynn. I'm sure Charlie and Stall as well as our loyal away support will be hoping Fylde don't get the three points they need, with the multiple rearranged fixture debacle we had up there a few years ago. Dover-esque levels of farce.

Great spot and bang on the money. I frequently look at other battles but this had missed me TBH. Fylde are something of a fraud club anyway. Didn't a Notts player go there at some point me duck?
