Arsenal fans - do they have a point or not

i have seen a number of interviews/youtube podcasts from Arsenal fans, most of which are going mental.

They are claiming Arteta should be sacked because they have lost out to Man City, they got rid of Wenger

and after multiple managers, they have gone from 2nd to 2nd. Arteta has spent half a billion,

second is not an achievement and he should go.

One lad claimed the side lack an elite mentality and pointed at Real Madrid.

They won 5 trophies last season, if they dont win the title and cup this season, Carlo will be getting the boot.

The term "bottled it" was getting bounded about.

They have a state of the art stadium built, they already had an established top 6 squad, they

have been given half a billion to spend and are currently second with 5 games to go.

I can see both sides of the argument. Looks like an unnecessary meltdown in north London like,

can you imagine the scenes if Chelsea turn them over tonight and we beat them on Sunday

Will be a few bums twitching

I will be rooting for Chelsea tonight, would love to see Artetas miserable face, unfortunately can only see an Arsenal win.

Normally I would say that those fans are wrong and they have had a very good season, especially when comparing with the last one. However, recently they have hone ahead in games against teams you would expect them to beat and been pegged back - can’t remember against who but they were 2-0 up at home and drew a game recently. That’s not acceptable and certainly supports the argument that they’ve ‘bottled it’.
Another major factor is City’s squad depth. They can suffer 3 or 4 injuries to first team players and hardly feel it. Arsenal have had to play Holding who has been a weak link.
It’ll take teams like us a few windows of shrewd buying to catch up.

Would prefer Arsenal beat Chelscum in a slugfest, and we knock the stuffing out of them over the weekend, putting the blowtorch on KLOPP'S ugly face

I think Arteta will get another season but he will have to deliver. Arsenal have been awesome this season but their squad just fell short. One or two quality signings and i expect them to be a force again next season.

I do get where some Arsenal fans are coming from though. We will likely get to a stage where top 4 every season isn't enough.

They will be wondering if Arteta is the man to take them forward, or are they wasting an opportunity by not getting someone else i?

    No. They don't. (imo)

Next year if the same happens? Maybe. But their title challenge has benefitted massively from a weak Liverpool and Chelsea (as has our bid for 3rd or 4th) and the early-season faltering of Man City.

None of them would have expected to be where they are and, whilst I can understand the disappointment of being so far ahead and being reeled in, wanting Arteta out is insane. Did we want Keegan out after losing our lead? I can honestly say it never entered my head for a second. Similarly, if we failed to get top 4 this season, would anyone want Eddie Howe out?

Yes, there may be blame to be attached to Arteta but the players, too, have made mistakes. The pressure has got to them-as it may yet do to us (could that explain the first halves of the Brentford and Southampton games and the whole Villa performance?)-but for any team looking to win their first league title, it's a learning curve and maybe it's too steep for some of them.

I'm absolutely no fan of Arsenal or Arteta-quite the opposite-but for a long time this season, they played fantastic football and were deservedly where they were in the table.Wanting him out now just shows how fickle a lot of fans are.

I would say no as well - although Zip has said why a lot better than I could.
