    Two lists

just think...somewhere in the club, there are two lists of players we're going to try to bring to the club.

One will have some fantastic players on it who we could only ever have dreamed of under Fatso. Players with hugely promising careers who are being coveted by some of Europe's top clubs. Players who will get us off our seats and make us gasp with some of the things they do. Players who will be eyed enviously by other clubs and have features dedicated to them on Match of the Day.

And the second list is even better,

We are so close to being able to scrumple up that first list, smooth out the second one which Dan Ashworth has pulled out of his trouser pocket like a forgotten receipt, take a deep breath, smile and say 'right...'

Could be the most incredible Summer any of us have ever experienced.

    Apart from '96, obviously.

    Well said Zippity.

I'm not going to think about "WHO" might be on Ashworth's shopping list until we have done the business on Leicester.
As far as I'm concerned, we need to beat them for Champions League football - I don't want it going down to the last day with another enemy of ours, Chelsea.

Leicester are mediocre, and there is NO excuses for not delivering the axe to that team. Field FIT players only, anyone crocked should not be selected. I want the business settled and KLOPP'S trousers drenched in diahorreah

The excitement of seeing Klopp’s trousers drenched in diarrhoea might be greater than the transfer window 😂

    Aye indeed Andy.

Eddie hasn't let the lads take their foot off the gas at any point so getting it done against Leicester is a must. Also, all the sweeter to have that victory in the bag & allow the fans to celebrate the last home game of the season with a genuine lap of successful honour!

For the first time in my life time (43yrs old), I know everyone from top to bottom PiF board to EH & MadDog are aligned.
The PiF wanted UCL football - the big show - Once we drill Leicester on Monday they're wish has been granted. The chequebook will be open.

Ashworth, Eales, Staverley, Ghodoussi & Ruben swing into action like the some kind of football finance version of Marvel heroes signing the 6-7 top class players we need to sure up the squad for an assult on Europes top football competition whilst also maintaining our top 4 birth in the Premier League, alson with 2 domestic cup runs.

Ashworth, Eales & Howe all know the importants of doing business early. Having the whole of preseason to integrate and align the new boys with the exisiting squad. So I expect us to work in a diametric fashion to the previous region on every level.

    Ain't it brilliant! Cheesie peas!

Chelsea have the potentisl to be a monster and hand it to us by a pure fluke with that squad.

We don't want to go to London on the last day to play anyone looking for a win let alone a team of unmoulded superstars - some.probably playing for a move.

Disaster waiting to hsppen it must be Leicester.

A fag packet would be the previous regime served with Netto rich tea biscuits.

My feeling now is a Vismo or Powerpoint in a darkened room full of experts and coaches with a running commentary and examples on every aspect of a players performance, character and attributes with scouts online on Zoom or Teams from every corner of Europe watching on advising.

Served with Coffex Superbar and cakes brought in from Saadeddin Pastry.

    In my head anyway

Our P&L will look a lot better with Champions League, 3rd or 4th, practically never being off the TV and a new shirt sponsor.

So as far as FFP goes we will look pretty good.

Not sure we can plan our summer spending to include Champions League money in subsequent seasons mind (supposed to be around 100M with about 80% of that from TV money)… because if we don’t make it after next season then our wages and remaining payments will be burning a big hole in the balance and restrict our spending in the future.

So I agree that we will have a nice pot of money to spend (once CL footy is definitively ours) but just not sure how much we will actually spend on fee’s and wages, and also Eddie might have his own thoughts about how many players he would want to bring into the squad at any one time.

I’m sure everyone has their lists of outgoings and positions they want to see reinforced/replaced… but we probably won’t do it all in the summer.
