Perez has been released by Leicester.

He's 29 and has experience in Prem and Europe (albit minimal), probably won't cost the earth in wages and is an attacking player that would probably do well under the Howe method.

Would anyone have him back?

I go no myself and I think he'll go back to Spain but I thought an interesting question.

We absolutely had Leicester's pants down when we got £30 million for him. He flattered to deceive and got his transfer on the back of his best period of form for us.

Plus, as I've said before, if you compare his reaction to the stick he received with Joelinton's reaction-and his was a tiny drop in the ocean compared to Big Joe's-then you can see the type of person he is, too.

I was glad he fucked off and would hate to see him back.

I think if he was 5 years younger Eddie may have taken a chance on being able to mould him as he has with several of CabbageHeed's failures, but at 29 we only want players with the ability of Tripps.

No. And I liked him for us more than most. He seems to have been even more inconsistent at Leicester and he never built any rapport with the fans.

Yes it's odd when they are foreigners with a distinct foreign name and even just slightly above average ability they go for big money, much more than home grown academy players do. The only exception to that I can think of was Carroll to Liverpool. But they would pay over the odds for any player with one good season.
