Sheffield Wednesday
. . . is 12/1 to be next Barnsley Manager and 33/1 to be next Sheff W Manager.
Did get me thinking though. LW appears to be well invested in the "project" but at what point might he have his head turned?
This isn't meant to be a divisive post, just interested in others thoughts.
Sheffield Wednesday
Not odds we should be concerned about, we've seen people like Paul Ince and Billy Davies being linked with Notts at 33/1, but we know how quickly odds can change. Sheff W going for a tier 5 manager would be wild, after he was largely considered too inexperienced for Reading.
What will be will be, I'd like to see what LW could do with Notts in the FL but there's no guarantee he's going to be able maintain the momentum, as we found with Warnock in tier 1.
Though they have far less say now, I think the manager is still far and away the most important person at the club, it would be a big deal if LW left but only continues to be a big deal if the replacement is poor.
Don’t see him going to League 1 unless the club/project is very appealing and I don’t think that many will be. I don’t think many champ clubs will go for him and I think he’d be cautious to take a job there as he knows he’d be on borrowed time straight away should results go wrong with him being brought in from managing 2 leagues below.
I think he knows and we know he has a great chance to get another promotion on his cv this season or next and that’s when you get a lot more creditability.
Reading are in a chit load of trouble. All the Chinese owners that were flooding into English Football are now flooding out. West Brom have China ties don't they?

These are very informative about the whole situation regarding Chinese football as a whole, as well as Reading's and West Brom's situation too.
I don't think he's going anywhere at the moment. That being said if someone said to me you could get hefty compensation for LW, and the replacement is Karl Robinson i'd snap your hand off. That being said because of LW having a poor spell at Swindon, i think higher up teams will wait and see how he does this season.
