Dummett and Karius extend their contracts until 2024

Good! As squad players, they will do a fine job the coming season.

    Will they?

I've forgotten what Dummet looks like now and Karius is a disaster.

Mixed feelings.nI think Karius did ok in the Cup Final considering it was his first game in bloody ages. Dummett hasn't played for a long old time and doesn't offer enough going forward. Strange one, that, on the face of it but it's obviously important to Eddie so fair enough.

I agree with Zipps! Darius is okay for depth, but DUMMETT is not good enough anymore for our squad, move him on, Luton or the championship

Dummett is not good enough to play Champions League, but he will be good cover for the Premier League and the domestic cup matches.

Let’s be realistic; we cannot move on every single player who does not have the level we think they should have, in that some of them have been determined to be important for the dressing room and the culture ie. Dummett and Ritchie. They’re here for another year. Makes perfect sense to me.

It'll be based on what they offer to the squad - Dummet in particular.

I suspect both will play more than we think as well next season.

Aye also bare in mind we need to have 8 players trained in England and 4 player trained at the club when they were under 21 for a minimum of 3 yrs.

    Great point.

Dummett ticks that box as well for us.

Yeah exactly we have to be realistic in our evolution of the squad.

My bigger concern is why the likes of Hendrick & Fraser are still with the club? Hayden is good lad and I'm sorry that it just didn't work out at Norwich due to injuries last season. I wish him all the best.

The other two Hendrick & Fraser, if they were found floating face doon in the Tyne I'd not shed a tear
