Thread: Foster - MIA.

    Unhappy Foster - MIA.

Foster noticeable by his on field "absence"

    Weghorst & Foster. WTF?

I think that Brownhill has scored more in pre-season than either or both of them.

I do not know the standard of Genk and I am guessing that the mantra will be that pre-season is all about getting minutes not the result. To me, a win breeds confidence, a loss does not. Let’s see how the rest of the matches go. If neither Foster nor Weghorst find the net it will be worrying to say the least.

My mate went over via the ferry, he said the best part of the match was the anticipation of the ferry home.

Swiss, interestng that you don't know the standard of Genk, however, they are playing in Geneva on Tuesday night against Servette in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League First Leg.
Yesterday was their last friendly before this match and they had won one, drawn one and lost one before yesterday.
They were top of the league at the end of last season but they have a play-off system in Belgium and there were three teams in contention on the last day. Royal Antwerp won the league for the first time in 66 years

I know it can be difficult to draw too many conclusions from Friendlies. However, in my honest opinion I think yesterday has highlighted that were still way short of what we need to survive. Particularly up front. The new lad from Basel hopefully will help, but we still need another Forward. Also, two for midfield.

I am aware of the reports that were bringing in this 18 year old kid Luca Koleosho. But this sort of signing does leave me a little skeptical, its only any good if he is ready to push for the 1st Team. If he is being brought in to just bulk up our youth team, frankly its a waste of time and money.

I don’t follow the Swiss teams at all. Or Belgian for that matter. Good to know they were decent opposition.

I thought you’d be right behind foster BT now he’s come out about his depression and how it’s affected him, markel got your support and she’s a devious schemer it appears.

I hope it gets through his demons - VK wouldn’t have paid what we did for him if there wasn’t a footballer in there - it remains to be seen now I guess.

I was totally unaware of the depression issue army88. I'll take my foot off the criticism until he hopefully recovers.

Now his illness is diagnosed and help is to hand I offer him a prayer and hope he recovers soon.

The problem is that, after the treatment received on Saturday, we probably have another striker suffering from depression.
