Aye, I don't think it will be at £50m closer to £30m. That's what I heard was agreed weeks ago. It was just the structure of the deal that was being negotiated.

Now we are back in the toon from the USA I expect all other business to be concluded swiftly.

However there will be one major signing that will happen late in the window as the selling club will look to secure cover before the let that player sign for us... who ever he may be!

Can he play right midfield as well? (genuibe question) - the less common spelling of genuine haha

Yeah there is talk of him being a right sided Gareth Bale. Starts off life as an RB but has the ability to play higher up as a barn stormer of a RB/RWB/RW

Maybe he can play right CB as well, we could do with one. It might be like walking on glass with this one, every time he gets a tackle in therell be an oooohhh round the stadium and people covering their eyes, till he gets up!

I'm probably well off base here. This is just a thought that's been rumbling along since watching the Lacelles/Howe press conference out in the USA.

Howe publicly hyped ASM saying he's absolutely in his plans / future thoughts. Plays him in the early pre-season friendlies then Boom the lad heads off to Saudi

We're in for a bunch of right footed CBs and Howe gives it the bigg'un about how important big Jamal is to the squad, plays him in the early pre-season friendlies ... maybe there is a BOOM coming on a move away from the club for the current skipper. TBH that pass he put through for Gordon I think it was, was peak Puyol and if he plays like that this season I'm happy to see the Nottingham Forest product hang around for 1 more season.

In terms of CB for Tino, not really sure that's his game, He's only 5'10" not Howe's usual profile for a CB.

However this is all guess work and speculation... who can really fathom the working of the mind of Howe, Ashworth and the working of our excellent professional ownership team.

HOWAY THE BOARD, keep the signing coming!
