Both goals were awful defensively.

The ball played into feet for the first one travelled so far and was so obvious yet we had nobody screening in front of the obvious recipient of the ball, far too much open space.

The second one we get caught dawdling in possession yet again.

With their other chances we look like getting completely overrun, we are so easy to play against it’s untrue.

Great goal from Asante. Really missed furlong last night. The kids aren’t cutting it at all. Just not good enough. Could do with a couple of signings but it’s very early days. These autopsies after 1 league match and one cup match are as immature as it gets. Really childish, but then that’s how the world has become. Southampton crashed out to Gillingham after bossing their first league match. Conclusion? There are no conclusions. Start talking after 10 games.
