    Women’s World Cup 2023

I’ve watched quite a lot of the opening 4 games and have been really disappointed so far with the quality of play and the finishing. New Zealand scored a really fine goal v Norway but otherwise it has been hit or miss from the penalty spot. Hopefully the Lionesses will up the tournament pace v Haiti tomorrow. Currently watching Philippines v Switzerland. 0-1. Penalty.

The women's game is massive now and will continue to grow. My Grand daughter loves her football and plays regularly..Its great that they have the opportunity to show their skills off and earn good money and why not ..Personally it's not my cup of tea,but good luck to them..

Reminds me of my youth,we had a girl who used to join in the football knockabout with us in our ****s (a Tomboy) and she used to run rings round us all.. She would have been a top player nowadays. 😆

Yes Alf. Two of my granddaughters are Clarets fans and I have always encouraged them to be active in sport. I remember when the Women’s Euros finals were on we were on a family canal holiday and stopped off at a canal side pub for the final v Germany. Atmosphere was electric!

Let them all join their local knitting circle, and after that, make some cakes.

Bad chauvinist attitude. I imagine if you woke up one morning and found you'd turned into a woman you'd spend the first two hours flicking your button and the rest of the day learning how to drive

I’ve tried to look at it logically, but it’s not for me in any shape or form. Let them carry on with playing football and rugby , but don’t expect me to get involved.

I can engage withe women's footie on the national level but have no interest in the WSL as BFC are not involved. Should we get there it will be a different ball game (or not). It's just not to the same standard so it's a bit like watching non league.
