    Burnley's Business Model

After the signing of Wilson Odobert (who?) I think I have sussed out Burnley's business model. It is less about staying in the Premier League and more about signing young players with potential to be sold at a big profit. What do the wise men of Clarets Mad think?

I think there are elements of both and we need to be in the PL to make it work.

Yeah I agree we need to be in the Prem to make it work. That's where we need to be to sign the right players, and that's where the players get the high value.

But this is not really news. My problem is that we have now invested so much in so many. If we have to pay some of our loans next year we'll have to sell players for that plus for buying new talents. Does anyone have any idea how much we would have to sell for? I would guess we need to sell for 50-80 million a year. 2-#

Don't think it's a secret, we are buying young players, developing and improving them with the aim of selling them on at a profit. Vinni reckons we need to sell 3/4 a season to make it pay. I would imagine this is why Twine and McNally are on loan in the Championship, hopefully they can return as replacements for a couple of those we sell for a profit next summer.

I talked to a City fan this morning who I used to work with a few years ago. He was surprised how far we have come since we got tanked in the FA Cup in January.

He also added Beyer, Al-Dakhil, Benson & Zaroury have big money transfers written all over them.

I suggest that sums up our "Business Model".

BT you fell into my trap. I asked for the opinions of the 'wise men of Clarets Mad' and yet you answered. More inane drivel to follow. Hall of Fame here I come.
