    Match ratings @ Salford

    I'll kick this one off

Stone 6 - Congrats to him on the clean sheet
Baldwin 7 - Steady, eased himself back in. There's more to come
Brindley 7 - Hasn't failed to impress since he moved into the centre
Cameron 7 - Very solid job
Palmer 8 - Even better than usual, outstanding really
Bostock 7 - Was getting better as the game went on
Nemane 5 - Patchy, and then got himself sent-off and it might easily have been a pen
McGoldrick 8 - first half masterclass, contender for man of match but...
Crowley 9 - ...MoM, again for me. He's in a stunning vein of form. Unbelievable and don't want to jinx it, but so far an upgrade on _ _ _ _ _ !
Austin 8 - His best of the season, very effective
Langstaff 6 - Got himself involved more than in previous games, very busy

    Subs
Jones 7 - immediately started pinging it into the box
    O'Brien 6
    Rawlinson 6
    Chicksen 6

Agree with those but would maybe give Nemane a 6.
You missed Austin who would get a 7 from me.

Cheers. Just had time to fix it. Rounding up probably, I had him 1 better

Great win with only 10 and then 9 players, lol. If Austin had played I would have given him an 8, must have read my comments about him, he added the quality to his game that I thought had been missing in the Wolves game, and this season overall.

Yeah, 5 a bit harsh on Nemane. I'd go 6/6.5.
Nobody had a 5 game today. A great performance and glad the Salford demons were exorcised.

Also, Stone was a 7. He doesn't make me as nervous as Slocombe and knows when to kick it long. 6 harsh, especially with a clean sheet

I factor in all the times it goes from his boot to the opposition - a loss of possession is a loss of possession whichever position it comes from.

It's almost certainly an instruction to disarm the opposition, whose game plans probably have mugging us in those areas as their cheapest and easiest form of attack.
My first choice though would be to keep on developing the skills and courage to play our possession game.

Only watched the first half (due to the time difference) Agree with OP's ratings. I was pretty confident that I would wake up and not receive disappointing news. Great victory.

We look very, very good right now. The way in which we’re dominating even away games against very strong teams really is massively impressive and something I can’t remember is doing on such a regular basis before.

It feels like with the addition of McGoldrick and Crowley, Jones coming into the team (and flying) so we’ve got a dual threat from both flanks and Brindley moving inside to the middle of the three, we’ve massively improved what was already an excellent team.

Such a weird feeling to be this confident in the way things are going but right now (providing Williams stays as manager) I can’t see anything other than back-to-back promotions. The style of play and ball domination is a better fit the higher we go up the leagues.

Stone - 7 - Glad he got the clean sheet his recent displays deserved.

Baldwin - 7.5 - Probably his best game of the season so far.
Brindley - 7.5 - What a turnaround. Looked done in early August after a long period of poor form, but is now an automatic pick in a position he’d never previously played.
    Cameron - 7

Nemane - 6.5 - Worked hard but attacking g play generally came more through Austin/the left. Red was a shame and probably avoidable.

Palmer - 8.5 - Unreal, even by his standards. Surely there’s no better midfield pairing in the league right now.
    Bostock - 7.5

Austin - 8 - A contender for MOTM if he’d have stayed on longer. Brilliant display out of position, a threat in attack and never stops working defensively. What a player to have in the squad.

Crowley - 8.5 - What a signing. Goal, assist and a constant threat. Teams know what to expect from him and the areas he gets into but seemingly can’t prevent it.
McGoldrick - 9* - Even in such a superb team display, a cut above.

Langstaff - 7 - Probably should’ve had at least one goal but his energy and pressing is so essential to everything we do.

Jones - 7 - Not a bad player to bring on! Nearly a great late assist for McGoldrick.
    O’Brien - 6
    Chicksen - N/A
    Rawlinson - N/A
