Thread: Howe’s future

    Howe’s future

I’ve always felt that the head choppers would like José as their manager and José has been dropping compliments about Newcastle United and Bobby Robson for a couple of years I think it’s a job he wants too.

It’s just a gut feeling, really hope we get our season going staring this weekend because Howes the man.

What a catastrophe it would be to sack Eddie and hire José. He's past it and I think he suits Italian football way better and vice versa.

In my personal opinion, I have no idea why anyone is even bringing Eddie's future up. Do people really forget two years of great achievements that quickly? Is this not supposed to be the phase where we slowly but surely build up a quality squad without getting in trouble with FFP etc.? Or are we going to be like every other 'big' club, no patience and constant unrealistic demands? I thought we weren't them and I'm glad we're not.

Have patience and enjoy the ride. Eddie is not beyond criticism, but he's absolutely the right manager for us and these last three games against incredibly tough opponents won't define our season.

It’s just sh*t stirring because we’re back in the reckoning. We need to get used to it and grow thicker skins.

Spot on Hughie. This is just a blip with a run of three difficult games, one of which (Liverpool) we, or rather the players and not E.H., should have put to bed earlier in the game.

The time to look back and analyse is the end of the season and until then be grateful that Eddie Howe has got us to where we are now so quickly.

Who would have been so optimistic, when CabbageHeed was given his sandwiches wrapped in a road map, that this club would have been remotely anywhere near to where we are today.

my biggest fear is coming to life, i knew once we got the takeover and started to have some success fans would jump o the negative bandwagon as soon as we hit a bump in the road.

I believe most of the fans calling for Eddies head were not supporters before October 7th 2021, like that Arsenal DJ nob who suddenly supports Newcastle.

The Saudi's wont cave in and deviate from their very own projected plan. If the target was CL in 5 years, Eddie still has 4 in the bank.

People need to understand, when it comes to business, the PIF are ruthless but also realistic and strict. They do their homework, if the data tells them that they will achieve CL in 5 years then they stick with it. If it happens before then, thats fine but they stay with the course.

If after 5 years we dont have CL football, Eddie is toast

It would be insane to sack Eddie right now. We would become a laughing stock and rightly so.

To be honest I haven’t seen anyone actually calling for Howe to be replaced, I feel the media imply that there is, they would love that.
