Batten down the hatches.
Storm Agnes is due to wreak death and destruction on Lancashire overnight. On Radio Lancs they've just had some top bod from the Met Office warning us to beware and a Lancs CC official telling us that the County's Emergency Services are all on standby to help mitigate the damage about to be inflicted upon us.
Is the end of the world really nigh, or is this the latest attempt to scare us witless by the eco-loons ? Any road, I'm taking no chances, I've shifted all the garden furniture off the patio. You never know, it might just be High Winds and a Bit of Rain Agnes, or it might be a real Storm Agnes. We'll see.

Bit windy overnight but nothing untoward or unusual, either Agnes hasn't arrived yet, or it's the latest scam by the eco-loons to make us think climate change will kill us all.

I hate to tell you mon ami the "Covid Alarm Bells" are ringing again. My doctor is insisting I seriously consider vaccination. I asked him it it's prudent to tell your GP to f*uck off. He put the 'phone down.

We had a power cut about 6 this morning and our apple tree lost a few more fruit than usual but the roof is still on (as was the power before 8).
