Always wondered who played guitar on

Stevie Winwood's Why can't we live together 2005 live https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwYFRlkTOIw
The guitarist Jose Neto had to look him up plays this unusual guitar , looks like a metal guitar ,but sounds like an aucustic
Here's Jose taking about his guitar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwYFRlkTOIw

    Hi Soulman
I know of Stevie Winwood but tbh never heard of Jose Neto. I couldn't find the link of him talking about the white guitar so looked it up (apologies if you already know!).

It's a Paradis Avalon built by Rolf Spuler of Switzerland between 1990-95. Designed to be a kind of electrified nylon acoustic, it has a semi-hollow body made of either rosewood or mahogany, a rosewood fretboard and nylon strings with a "headless" design. Each string has its own pre-amp built into the guitar. Often played connected to a polysub-bass multiple octave unit by the same company (which Neto does I believe). Sounds pretty good -but a tad expensive. Cheapest one I found was just under £6k

An interesting watch and thanks for posting👍
It is a nice sounding instrument but although, from what I've read, you get used to the tuning head position, personally I don't really like the look of "headless" guitars. Apparently others don't either so Spuler then went on to make a similarly bodied model but with a more traditional style headstock.

Anyhow, will check out Jose Neto. Hope you and yours are well.

We are doing fine thanks, I also don't like headless guitars.
