    Beckham Netflix documentary

I find it interesting because it reminds me of a different time and place, but dear me - David Beckham offers nothing personality-wise. His story is quite remarkable, but he as a person must be the dullest I've observed.

Not that that's news to anyone.

Perhaps not but it does remain true. Dull he is, and dull he always was.

I'm going to watch it at some point but heard good things about it.

Dull he may be but my respect for him rose massively when he stood in the queue to pay his respect for the Queen for hours on end.

Bizarrely enough, my Mum-who is absolutely not into either football or celebrities-watched it and really enjoyed it.

Fwiw, he seems, to me, to be a canny bloke who's made a great life for himself through hard work.

No doubt that his career achievements stand for themselves. And that he's a savvy businessman, or at least surrounds himself with the right advisors. I'm certainly not arguing that he doesn't have any brains.

I just don't think what he says is particularly interesting. Gary Neville, who is also in the documentary, has a way of explaining things and telling a story that is way more humorous and compelling IMO.

    Great documentary nonetheless.

i have never really been bothered about Beckham, he lives a totally mental lifestyle

After watching this documentary though, the lad has got some serious serious mental strength, an absolute elite mentality.

The amount of crap he has had to take, would have ended the modern day snowflake. Poor bloke was tortured for months everywhere he went because of a stupid split second reaction he did as a 23 year old.

Fergie and Capello treated him like shlt and Hoddle needs a good punch the way he threw him under the bus repeatedly

It didnt go into his affair though, just slightly skirted around it.

    Was a pretty good watch
