    Iron Mike

Has left Gateshead to become the new MK Dons manager.

A shame but good luck to him.

Nice to see how he does further up the leagues.

    Ah, massive shame for Gateshead.

At least now I can go back to remembering him as a bang average defender who got himself deliberately sent off at the sharp end of a relegation battle.

It may turn out to be a bad move for him they are only 14 places above Gateshead, 6th National League. MKD 16th in the 2nd and 6 points above the drop zone. Not a huge difference.

We'll see how Robbie Elliot turns out now.

He should have stayed at Gateshead till a better offer came along MK Plastics have a habit of sacking managers.

I feel you are right Mids. I get the impression that Gateshead will be going places in a couple of seasons, whereas there seems no place to go for MKD but downwards.

"Now manager of MK Dons, in just his second game in charge has overseen The Dons' first league victory since 26th August."

    They won 4-1.

    Go on Mike.
