    O/T Missing/Deleted posts of late.

I wanted to bring to everyone's attention an update on this scenario.

Last night I was contacted by not one but two regulars who post on here. Each asked me why the posts they seem to have created/edited or replied to, have disappeared when they've logged back in to check up on them. I asked if they logged their initial posts/replies via their mobile and they said yes.

I asked what they meant by disappeared, had they gone in to amend/edit an original post of theirs? Reason why I asked this is because, I have first hand experience as it has happened to me and still does so, I now refrain from following that process on my MOBILE and give it a wide berth. I have no issues at all using my laptop.

Has anyone else attempted to try to amend and edit a post via their mobile that they originally submitted only to find it missing when they've gone back in to view it? I would be keen to know if this is still happening. Regards, Brin.

Editing your post on the Mobile version of the site absolutely does not work and has not worked for well over a year. The only result is that your post gets deleted. As a moderator I can see when this has happened and often will undelete a post that looks to have been deleted in this way. My advice, if you are using the mobile version of the site and make an error in your post, instead of trying to edit it use the Quote option instead and put in your new post the reason why e.g. sorry but meant to say IBS is a banker not a ****er

The recent spate of 'missing' posts seems to be completely unrelated and I've no idea why it is happening.

I think it’s more serious than you both think.
Loads of missing posts after an excellent performance on Tuesday.
For research purposes I would monitor it after Saturdays result maybe some of the posts won’t get deleted depending on the result.

I used to copy and paste a long ish post,in case I did the edit forgetting about the delete post snag, but also it used to time out if you took along time scribe something, and then at least you can paste and repost it…never could re write a post as I always lost the impetus, always found it was like doing the second coat in decorating..😓
