    Wow where does the time go never realised Terry Venables was 80! One of the better coaches shall we say years ahead of his time coaching wise a “European” type coach who had considerable success abroad as well as here always tried to play football

    Uttis, same here, didn't realise he was 80. A very good Manager probably one of the best England ever had.

    Gave us some great times to reflect on never to be forgotten.

    RIP Big Tel....you did yourself proud.

    Yep it’s scary,wife came in & told me he had died I said that’s sad he’s not that old.

    Very sad news, got the national team playing some exciting football. I've not bothered watching an England game since then.
    Remember the notorious game against his QPR side back in the early 80s at Millmoor when Ronnie was sent off for 'nearly killing' their goalie. He put together quite a young skillful team back then.
