One of the reasons VAR gets such bad press (and I stress one reason) is that some people expected it to be some kind of perfect science. It never will be because human beings still make the decisions which, in the main, are subjective. You could watch something 1000 times and not everyone would agree.
What it does do is gives the referee a second bite at the cherry rather than having to decide something on the spot.
VAR isn't the problem, it's how the laws of the game are interpreted.
