One of the reasons VAR gets such bad press (and I stress one reason) is that some people expected it to be some kind of perfect science. It never will be because human beings still make the decisions which, in the main, are subjective. You could watch something 1000 times and not everyone would agree.

What it does do is gives the referee a second bite at the cherry rather than having to decide something on the spot.

VAR isn't the problem, it's how the laws of the game are interpreted.

Refusing to play under these ridiculous conditions is probably the only way of getting rid of it.

VAR isnt the problem, stop the players from diving/cheating and it might have a chance of getting things right.

Doesn't help when our "experts" are saying, "well, he felt contact so he's entitled to go down,"........

Doesn’t matter how ‘slight’ the contact was, players have now been told to dive at all costs.

Yes the falling over and play acting is pathetic. I bet anyone of those players would stand up if someone slapped them hard in the face outside of football, but if a trailing hand skims their head they are down as if shot by a sniper. They do this because the clubs are abusing a change in the laws designed to protect players health around head injuries, they don't deserve that protection when their choice is to cheat. There should be an independt medical referee at all games, if a player is faking a head injury they get a green card, allocated as a cheating card. That should also be used for diving and other acts that can be classed as cheating or dissent. Green cards can be given after a game as well in case an incident is missed by the officials (e.g. Garnacho scuffing the penalty spot) Once a player gets 5 green cards in a season (all competitions) it is an automatic 10 game ban. The issue is nothing will happen because cheating, lying and corruption are at the heart of the sport, from the very top officials to the lower leagues, the game lacks integrity and it is a reflection of the world we live in.

I think an amicable solution would be for the referee and a few of his associates to go round to the Wolves training ground, meet the Manager say they got it wrong and that they,re really sorry.

players follow the money and winning major trophies, the latter more in ealy years. Also it could be proposed to UEFA not that they would every listen.
