    I'd agree with The Pistols but God Save The Queen was the song that sent the shockwaves in my opinion .

    Just thought Pretty Vacant was their best single.

    Know it was but I stand by Pretty Vacant being the single where they got it right more than the others. My opinion might not be others.

    One of my 'claims to fame' is back in 1978/9 I was in true Full Monty fashion, for one night only, lead singer in *** Pistols band. Our set was:

    God Save The Queen
    Pretty Vacant
    Anarchy in the UK
    Holidays in the Sun

    We only rehearsed once and I must admit I only knew about 25% of the lyrics but it was easy to fill in the rest with incoherent 'noise'.

    That's how music should be make your definitive song then no more not like the Rolling Stones I've sampled songs from that new album of theirs proved they should have bowed out gracefully almost 50 years ago!
