Not many thought we would get anything from this game. We were lucky and great skill from Trafford at one end, and ineffective and inexperienced in the other end. As long as we’re learning it’s not so bad.
If not for Trafford that would have been 5 or 6-0 in the first half.We were abysmal.
Liverpool bring on Jota and he scores. We bring on JBG and he misses an open goal header from 5 yards out.Enough said.

The cross to Gudmunsson was a fraction too high. I’m sure he would have scored otherwise. The players who were bearing down on goal , not long before both goals were scored, should have at least forced Alison to make a save. That was disappointing for me.
A team such as Wolves or Brighton would have beat Liverpool tonight. How they are top of this league i do not know. For all Klopp’s ranting on the touch line, they didn’t look like a title winning team to me, even with their disallowed goals.
Fine margins. I thought we were the better team for periods of the game. Not out of our depth.
Well in my opinion Liverpool had too much class for us and they deserved their win. However, I do not think you can criticise the effort put in by the players. No one has called the players for lack of effort and pride but today I clearly saw that effort bt the players. We are probably still going down but if that amount of effort is repeated in this second part of the season I will be happy that the team has tried. The only thing I would say we need an Andy Lochead -someone who will run through brick walls to either score or it results in a goal like Willie Irvine and that player could be Lyle Foster. There must be a Andy Lochead somewhere.
I thought the lads were fantastic today, 100% commitment all over the pitch and we thoroughly deserved a draw.
Defensive shape was brilliant, Trafford is starting to show exactly why we paid that enormous sum of money for him, Taylor, O'Shea and Vitinho were all resilient and athletic.
Amdouni ran his socks off, Odobert and Tresor were a real handful.
We deserved a point and I think any criticism of today's effort is unfair and not merited.
Forest winning was a body blow but I'm telling you now this team will pi$$ next season's Championship.
How long is it since we beat Liverpool or got a draw even? So why the shock that they beat us? I thought 1st half we were poor, but second half we had a real go and were unlucky not to have got a point. They are apparently top of the league. They had a top class players on the bench to change the game; we do not have a guy like Jota, hence the difference. I do think we will go down, but not without a fight and that's all you can ask for at this point. Vitinho; most improved player from last year for me and I'm surprised to say that.

I said on another thread the Liverpool midfield, by their standards, is currently piss poor and so it is, but depressingly it was men against boys again, they strolled through the game and won 2-0 without breaking sweat. Their keeper didn't have a save to make, he could have brought a deck chair, carpet slippers and Book Three of Lord of the Rings to read, so little did we trouble him. We might well terrorize the Championship next season, but we don't cause the slightest concern to the top PL teams.
And Foster looks a million miles away from being the answer to our problems
I was on the Turf with my youngest son and three grandkids CiB, with a bit more composure Amdouni could have scored before the Scousers did.
Real glaring chances missed by JBG, Berge and Larsen, Foster worked hard but is obviously ring rusty, all five of us came off without a grumble and we all thought we deserved a draw.
I often wonder if the TV presentation matches the live experience?
Armchair fans. Pah!
