    This is very good

It's almost a relief that folk from outside can see what's going on. Why isn't ffp challemged in the courts-could it fall foul of anti-competition laws? The idea that it's to stop clubs spending beyond their means to protect them from themselves is so laughable and transparent that I'm surprised anyone bought it.

It just sums up the whole unfair situation without single bias.

    Very well put.

What's worse is I didn't know Ashworth was linked with Man United. Scheisse.

In fairness, it's media speculation based on his friendship with the new Man U part owner. Luke Edwards says no contact has been made and that Ashworth is happy here.

Hello all by the way. Long time lurker.

Anyway it's clear the rules are bent to favour the big guns or the darlings.
They don't want Newcastle upsetting their apple-cart but it will be upset sooner or later and I can't wait.

It's not just Newcastle though, you have Villa, Brighton and Hammers who are around the area.

Great article and nice to see someone else saying it.

An excellent article which clearly spells out how corrupt the Premier League is, with its rules and regulations. They clearly only want the same six clubs PERMANENTLY entrenched at the top of the table. I also have been hearing a lot of stuff regarding Dan Ashworth's head being turned by MANURE. Don't be surprised if he's gone soon.

That being said, I have no idea how we manage our playing list moving forward, the EPL have literally made it impossible for us to improve.

If he does go I wonder if some of our other scouting team will follow? It’s the same with Eddie, if he gets the push along with Tyndall how many more might we loose eventually. He seems to build up a strong loyalty with people he works with.

I hope you're right. He has been shortlisted at Man United before though, so I'm not sure it's all just pure speculation. Therefore you'd have to think that Ashworth, like most people would, is considering which prospect is more attractive currently; NUFC or Man United? I'd say the former and I'm not biased at all

Agreed Hughie. You only have to look back a few short months when Potter had fantastic success at Brighton but was then lured by the bright lights of Chelsea. Now he must be looking back and wishing he had been satisfied and stayed with his success at Brighton.
