    An apology

I was so pissed off with the usual VAR robbery that I kept off here last night. I'm back posting now and still stewing about it, so if I come across as a tad more stroppy and slightly less amicable than usual, please accept my apologies. Blame it on the VAR.

Being winter there and in 'grass/ moorland country' (?), i e 'Slitheroe' That deadly wind swept place? Its natural one would take a whiskey bottle, still a cupboard attraction and prove its strength, which has been at a constant quality since 1726. Wouldn't many of us ,driving past a half built castle, not think of the amount of tourist it could have had, every time you drove past the 'bloody ' thing? That having completed building it. Would have raked in millions in tourism? Which in turn would have reduced housing 'rates?' Then as it where, put 'Slitheroe' on the map .....and in history books. I read somewhere that it was not Cromwell that de-copulated the bloody thing, but some wild crazy drunk from Bolton ,that did it. ( Bolton has always had such a reputation!) Its in their genes!

I came home kicked next door's cat, had two stiff whiskies and still could not sleep.

I was fuming at VK's tactical ineptitude, Trafford's ineptitude and the constant fiasco that is VAR.

The wife asked me to calm down or I'd have a heart attack.

    I'm still fuming now!

I know where you are coming from. Even my son who is a BFC supporter only because I am and has never been on Turf Moor was so incensed I couldn't get him off the phone.

Hey sinky, if we all apologised for stroppy posts the threads would be twice as long as they are now, apology accepted by the way.

Although I don't always agree, I do respect and value everyone's opinion on here. It might not have seemed that way this morning.

I think it was more likely left over from my two Catterick bets on Thursday Alf, Tim Pat failed by inches to run into a place at 16/1 and then the jockey fell off Minniemum at the last with the race done and dusted. The last thing I needed was yet another VAR clown show. Incidentally, Altobelli is entered for the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury on Feb 10th, currently 12/1, it could easily win this.
