    Middlesbrough Post Match Thoughts

Too little too late or can we still dream of a great escape? It's only one point where three were at least a possibility for a while. Inactivity in the transfer/loan market seems that we are going to be stuck with what we have so will the renewed form under LR be enough along with the return of a few of the long term injuries plus the return of the man who 'doesn't want to play for us'?

Thoughts on today's team, performance and the return of PK?

    Nothing yet from the miserabilists?

Great point and solid, fighting performance. The dream lives on.

Well done to Leam and the team. Is Morrison the 'new' Woody?

Kioso did OK when he came on, pace of the game at this level is streets ahead of league one. He was lucky not to give a pen away in the first half. He put a decent ball into the box second half before we scored but nobody to get on the end of it.
Our goal was well worked and for once Hugill stayed on his feet and played a great ball to Cafu for a really composed finish.
The lad Rogers upfront for them is being linked with a move to Villa and it took some Premier league class to unlock a very stubborn back line a sublime back heal into the path of Forrs to score.
Eaves was unlucky not to put us back in the lead from the corner at the back post, the defender did well to not allow him to make full contact with the ball.
3 points would have been better but it's another point on the road. Shame QPR and Hudders picked points up aswell.

Sounded a battling performance on the radio. Taken in isolation, a great result, but the old failing of not holding on for a clean sheet, is, I think the reason we won't stop up.
Never the less, a second half of the season like this will give us great hope for next season.

A massive applause to the away fans who travelled to the Riverside today..
and nearly witnessed a miracle Win.
I think we we are definitely building a solid team thanks to LR
I really hope with additions we can make a fist of staying up.

You cannot fault that performance we showed belief and fight and at times some nice football, we are so much better than under Taylor. Last weeks pathetic performance aside we have looked up for it and very impressed with how organised we are. They are a top team with a huge budget and we have taken 4 points of them. If LR had been brought in at the beginning of November I think we would have been 8 or 9 points better off. The lack of transfer window activity is a shame as I don’t think we are that far off. Revan, Morrison, clucas really look different players in recent weeks. Cafu did ok, Hugill was better second half than first and Kioso did ok once he settled in. Odoffin is a class act all the others played well. The fans were excellent and so a very good day for the millers. Come on TS back LR in the next 12 days and you never know.

Agree - currently strong enough to battle and grab points but just a bit short of bodies/quality to offer enough to stay up - unless we make a few late, key signings but my guess is the funds will be saved for summer transfer activity. Shame for the younger lads who'd benefit from going on loan but may have to stay put to bolster overall squad numbers

A good solid performance. Clucas, Cafu, Johanson or Morrison all deserve MOM. Kioso played well and didn’t appear to look out is sorts.

What really annoys me is the utter bias against us.
Listened to Talk Sport and this lady reporter thought Boro were saving themselves for the Chelsea game but they woke up at the end. Had they played like that at the beginning they would have been 4 up.
Grudging praise when Adrian Durham asked about us, saying we defended very well and have had two shots in two games against Boro which demonstrates our ability to take our chances.

I can’t abide this league but hope somehow we can beat the odds and stay up.
Leam has got us fighting again. That’s all we want …….apart from about 10 or 12 wins that is.

Nice easy one in 2 weeks. 🤣🤣

Go on then I will answer your little dig, good point decent performance but did we not miss a trick. They have got a massive game Tuesday I just thought we could have taken the game at them a bit more ruffled a few feathers put them under a bit more pressure.Soon are later we are going to have to get 3points a game to survive.
