    FAO Alfie

I was thinking about an EW double today Alf, our old friends Benson and Christopher Wood are running in consecutive races at Musselburgh. Benson looks a sound ew bet, but what is Venetia playing at running Christopher in the Edinburgh National ?

She obviously knows a long distance chaser when she sees one, but she's only tried Christopher over 3 miles once and he was beaten 50 lengths, so he won't be carrying my money over 4 miles. Intriguing though that she's entered the horse at all.

Should have trusted Venetia to know what she was doing, 8/1 place double up if I'd kept the faith. Be interesting to see where she goes next with Christopher Wood, now she knows he stays 4 miles.

CW in my tracker now Alfie, significant amount of money for it as well, it was double figure odds the night before, but was backed into 13/2 before the race. Someone was expecting it to stay 4 miles and it did. I'm sure Venetia will have something in mind for it before the month's out.
