As mentioned it seems there is no way of doing it and nobody at home at FootyMAD to help. You can Google 'deleting my vBulletin account' but from what I can see they state it's up to the site Administrators whether they allow it or not as it can cause problems with existing threads/posts.

Back to NYSRich' point, without sounding patronising, just don't log in, I know it's hard but thats the easiest fix.

There is another way and it's the most cynical but it has to be a 'personal request' from those wishing to leave. Just ask for a permanent ban then you will never be able to log back in again under your current username. That will then be a true power of wills as to whether you never post again using a new username.
