    Crossbar

I remember in the 1973 Cup Final v Sunderland, their keeper palmed a shot from Lorimer (or Cherry) onto the crossbar when we were 1-0 down. James struck the crossbar on the weekend. Does anyone know if it was the same damn crossbar?
Anyone know if we hit the woodwork in the 1970 Cup Final, or the 1965 Cup Final? If we did, it was probably that one.

The crossbar James hit was at the new Wembley stadium, where almost nothing of the "Twin Towers" stadium survives. No hoodoo, just bad luck.

Yes, yes I'm aware of that. Old or new Wembley, North or East or South or West end of ground. It's fine margins....but not mm or "a lick of paint" as commentators pathetically parrot.
