    Aberdeen v St Mirren

The Dons play their first home game of the 2024-25 Premiership season on Sunday 11th August, kicking off at 3pm.

The Buddies are not a bad side, but hopefully they suffer from having played on Thursday and we can take advantage.

I fancy the AFC to win 2-0.

As my uncanny level of optimism lives on (for now) I am going for a comfortable and encouraging 3-0 home win giving us 6 points out of 6 and 6 straight competitive wins under the new gaffer.
    Miovski (x2) Nilsen
ST Midden will certainly be the strongest opponent we will have faced till now, but confidence will be growing and the boys will deliver.

    PS @DD
Nae too sure about that Ambrose lad mate, the BUS jury is still oot on that one.

The gaffer has spoken to the media today.

He says that Miovski is still part of the squad, despite the ongoing talks with Girona. He says the new Croatian laddie is a box to box midfielder, he won't be drawn on the Finnish laddie rumours, and that he still insists that it's a chipper, having now spent a few weeks in the North East.

I think we will have too much for them on Sunday and will win. Trusty old FlixBus up and down for this one.

Palaversa and MacDonald will not be available for the game, as they aren't quite match ready.

A good day weather wise for our first league game at Pittodrie.

Hopefully Miovski is a starter for us. He's not let his standards slip despite the rumours on his future.

    We are doing this.

Very optimistic. Haven’t seen St Murren yet this season, though, so not sure what to expect from them.

We’re far from full strength so feels like quite a heavy weight will be on relatively few shoulders. Let’s see if they can handle that.

No matter what happens, excited by the squad we seem to be building.
