O/T England Fast Bowler Banned For Betting

England fast bowler Brydon Carse, has been banned for 3 months, for placing 303 bets on cricket matches, it understood that Carse did not play in any of the matches he bet on, between 2017-19.

What is it with sportsmen betting, why don't they use family to place bets, so their name does not come up, or even using a mate.

Unless they're involved in the bet I can't see a problem. Horserace trainers can gamble on their horses running as long as it's not to lose, they'll probably know more than jockey what chance horse it's got.
