T20 Blast- Anyone watch it ?

I’ve attended two of these limited over games ,here at Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens, watching Glammy against Surrey last Friday evening, and against Sus*** this afternoon. We saw games with plenty of excitement( and boundaries) which resulted in one win and one defeat, so far. Luckily the weather has been really good on both occasions, which enabled both games to go the whole distance. I really enjoy this form of cricket, but I also know there are Clarets on here ,who do prefer to watch the game of cricket ,as we know it, in the traditional way. Anyone else enjoy watching this competition ?

I'm all cricketed out malwayne. Far too much of the various formats on TV IMHO.

Test match cricket is the only format I watch these days.

I'm sure it's highly entertaining, but I can't take it too seriously, I don't really care who wins. I'm much more interested in Test cricket where the outcome really does matter, at least in a sporting sense. Not knocking it, thousands enjoy it, it's just not for me.

I was brought up watching county cricket in an era when the one day game was starting up. I was privileged to watch Barry Richards, Gordon Greenidge, Andy Roberts and Malcolm Marshall. I still follow Hampshire CCC and I do enjoy watching limited over matches on the TV. I am not overly fond of the Hundred - too much showbiz about it. I loved reading Cardus and Test Match cricket can (as with the Ryder Cup to golf) surpass all other forms of cricket.

I’ve been a few times Mal it’s v good imo anyway just long enough to make a great day of it - watched Yorkshire Lancashire at headingley and that’s a good atmosphere as well.

Tbf wives could go to this format and enjoy it - no defensive play just slog out and hit the boundaries

What’s not to like about that. ?
