Anyone reading the latest NYS PR quotes about player ages….
I assume it's this?
https://www.rotherhamadvertiser.co.u...-squad-4665789
It’s in general. Declaring to lower squad age….but don’t. Declaring to buy players, but all free transfers.
So if the right player becomes available, what do you want the club to do? Whip the fecking calculators out and check he brings the age down?
Two months until the window closes and a link in this very thread which is absolutely explicit in what the club are looking to do, but yet you post this.
I still don’t think that we have a full match day squad with subs.
SE, per 'Tiser. - "The age profile will average out as we fine tune the group" he said.
I've repeatedly said on and off here that I want a squad which is younger then the league average, built to last. But I'm comfortable with having the leaders and experience in there too... I think it's easier to attract players where there are proven, successful players at a club, than to attract them when the first wave of signings are 22 with lots to prove, whatever their potential. It's been done the right way round, and we're still quite a few signings from having the squad size we need.
Indeed. A few more with two close to signing this week, if they don’t fall through
SE has said before we signed Jules that from now on we’re going to lower the average age of the squad. Surely he’s done that with the Jules signing. Not a particularly young player, but younger than most of the others.
I suspect we’ll have some prem starlets arrive on loan in due course which should sort out the maths and let some fans get a better nights sleep
As per the post above, it’s a balance between experience and youth. We,ll get there. All good
