Price increases at holiday destinations 2024

I came back from a month's holiday on the 16th of June from Turkey.

Very large increase in prices, with the Turkish government announcing that the
inflation rate was at 75% which they announced in the last week of May2024, with
interest rates at 50%.

Bars & restaurants raised their prices, with a Bottle of EFe's 5% lager between £2 to £4,
with spirits a big raise in prices.
Bacardi was the dearest spirit at around £6.50 to £7.50 using a proper measure, price
included a mixer in our resort, at Calis Beach
But the resort next to us Hisaronu was charging £8 for Bacardi single measure, charging
for mixer on top, so coming in at over £10.
When we questioned the price of Bacardi in Hisaronu, the bar owner of course said he has
to import it, which I said that the bottle came in at £280 with prices.
This was after 14 of us had 4 drinks each in the bar, so we said we would not return again,
the bar was called the Red Bar which we have frequented a lot of times.
Next resort to Hisaronu is Olu Deniz, prices there are more.
Shops & the local markets were not getting a lot of custom, with the price increases, be it
people saying that they now used Shein, Temu etc for clothes, with the Chinese companies
being a lot cheaper.
2 fillet steaks, with 2 drinks for us has a couple was £46 in our resort of Calis Beach, some
bar owners saying they were worried on keeping the bars going, with the announcement
that there are building more all-inclusive hotels, with quite a few already built, including
Liberty & Tui Blue hotels already open.
