If walking round in midfield, collecting the ball and passing it two yards is dominating they can keep it. I agree he's totally overrated as is watching the premier league.just my opinion.

    Agree.

Granit Xhaka Is a miles bette player IMHO.

Rice is either ‘too safe’ or doesn’t have one touch game.

Doesn’t help him though when you have Kane and Foden (who should be playing central) crowding the midfield.

England need to play with width.

Who played well last night? Palace centre back not sure of his name did his job. Should have took Braithwaite to give us more options at the back. Dunk doesn't.

I agree with a couple of his other points, but haven't seen enough of Rice for England (or at his club, tbh) to form an opinion I'd be willing to stand by.

"The whole is something beside the parts"

Declan Rice has value, as do others who are "underperforming" in this tournament. The problem is the manager. Southgate is just not getting it all to add up.

    Marc Guehi

Playing well, probably because he's a relative " new boy" and hasn't yet been moulded into the Southgate way of doing things

The more they play under Southgate the blander they become

Just looked at defenders in the squad apart from who are starting now two I've never heard of Dunk Gomez don't fill me with confidence Braithwaite surely would have been a better option. Grealish I know he cuts inside mostly but can use ball well. Eze looked lost last night.

Difficult to say unless we watch him regularly and against his peers.

The comments come across as sour grapes perhaps because he chose England over Ireland.
He’s also stating the obvious because there aren’t any England players who are world class. Great for club sides, consistently poor / average on the National stages
