    ot - Leeds City centre

Hey up lads (to those that know me on here lol).
Last weekend, on Sunday the 23rd at 7am, I was stuck in the city centre.
And because of the constant diversions, ohh goodness me!!, it was hard to get where I needed to be lol.
And even the coppers weren't very helpful, and Id say they were ignorant to be honest.
Do you people from Leeds ever have this sort of problem ?.
Obviously I'm not from Leeds of course, and I don't know where I'm going, etc!. 😟

Always best to avoid the centre at the moment and detour around it. I come back to Leeds a fair bit and it’s often a challenge:

Hope all well with you otherwise.

Can't think of any large town/City I have been to in recent years that isn't a nightmare. Don't come to Preston the Council are hell bent on putting the City centre businesses out of business - they have recently closed one of the main routes in and ironically started road works on one of the two remaining. Additionally introduced very nice cycle paths through the centre that have little to no use; parking costs big time and on a night there are no cops so you run the risk of running into trouble or being hit by some tw@t on an electric bike going through the pedestrian area with a full face balaclava on.

    Sounds a lot like Southampton!

If you're not familiar with Leeds I'd go M180 junction 4 and head to Royal Armouries. Use the big multi storey next to Armouries/Leeds Dock. Then walk in to city centre by the side of the river, about 10 minutes.
When leaving it's easy getting back to the motorways.

Well just out of interest lads, I was trying to get to the Britannia Intl airport hotel, in LS16.
And I think it was the A660 area that was blocked.
Thankfully I put my car in the Multi storey, near the Lgi wing, and near a little Tesco express.
And I taxi'ed it there, and back again at tea time. 🚕
Was it the Leeds marathon on the day that caused the blockages/diversions ?.
The only time I've ever come to Leeds before, is either on the train, or on the Arriva 189 bus. 😟
