    Pre-Season Rumour Mill

    Below are some rumours being spread around social media.... Will be interesting to look back on this when the window shuts to see how much of it becomes reality;

    - We are about to sign a left sided Norwegian defender called Heggem. And Josh Windass is being heavily linked to sign on a free from Sheff Wed.

    - Our scouting network is "being cast far and wide", hence signing a Mali international from the Austrian league, and if true, this Norwegian guy.

    - We are open to offers for Asante and Swift. Asante apparently generating some interest from other championship clubs (Sheff Utd / Stoke / Coventry)

    - Corberan is desperate for the club to buy a goal scoring striker this summer
He is unconvinced about Dike and Maja (which is why he left him out of the matchday squad towards the end of last season)

    - Corberan also wants a winger. Club are looking for a winger who can play in the 1st team and is under 25. Portsmouth winger Kasingi Yengi being kept tabs on as he only has a year left on his contract.

    - We want Mikey Johnston back, but Celtic want to sell. We don't have the funds to buy. It might play out until the end of the transfer window to see whether another loan is possible.

    - Kipre has indicated he doesn't want to re-sign and is definitely leaving. Probably for France.

    - Ethan Ingram has rejected a new contract and is off to Dundee and Darnell Furlong in talks to extend his contract

Anymore to add? Feel free to add if you hear anything else on the rumour mill.

Windass has reportedly signed a new deal at Wednesday.

Although we have a one year option on him Albion academy prospect Fenton Heard is rumoured to be in talks with the Vile having not reported back for pre season training with us.

Interesting! Corberon will certainly be judged this season. I feel Swift has seen better days like Wallace and goes missing too much. Asante decent squad player but will never get the goals and too small so let’s cash in!

Some decent lower league players so rather go for pace - age and potential! Look at those Albanian players - they would run our team off the park! Need a proper recruitment person like another Ashworth!

PS - is Grant on Blackpool beach yet with Zohorse?

Tea and coffee to go up by 10p a cup a la the Jeremy Peace playbook.

Transfer deadline day to be tumbleweed a la the Jeremy Peace playbook.

Yeah I've just read that about Windass. Shame about Heard, I thought he had some potential. So used to Villa nicking all of our best young players now.

I wouldn't be averse to trying Grant out again, but on the wing. He played far too many games for us up front on his own and out of position. He carries a goal threat, and is he worse than say Diangana?

Also another rumour posted on a different thread is that Okay is off to Turkey before the start of next season.

Grant is a lazy p rick and don’t want to see him in our shirt again. It’s clear Carlos does not rate him or like him and he didn’t set the world on fire at Cardiff. Diangana with confidence can be a top player and would select him every time over Grant.

I won’t be able to hack it if Wallace starts up front again as he’s shockingly poor in this position and Carlos does not see it. I sense a problem with Carlos and Maja.

I'm not sure he's lazy, but I think he can be a bit soft in a tackle.

I reckon his confidence was shot to pieces playing as a sole striker in a Bruce team.

I still think there could be something there if we put him out wide, let him cut in and shoot. Its how he scored a lot of goals for Huddersfield.

Cardiff fans seem to rate him. And look what happened with Kipre this year.

Get your point 123 but a big no for me. Very mixed reaction at Cardiff but they did love Kipre.

It’s clear Carlos does not rate him for me. 15 million FFS l!!! Lucky to get 2m now!
