Why am I wasting my time - England

    I know, I know I said I wouldn't be watching this dross.

    However, here we go!

1-0 down to the Slovaks, Mainoo started Foden on the left ... again. Kane so deep he should be working in mining.

So far 33 mins in, howling performance.

They've stepped up the game a bit but the commentary team are blaming the pitch and anything else they can possibly grasp for.

Kane is not the man. Mainoo has no business being in the squad let alone in the starting line up. Foden on the left, ridiculous. Mainoo, Bellingham and Guéhi all booked Mainoo & Guéhi in the first 10 mins. Guéhi will miss the Quarter Final if by some miracle manage to win this game.

    So far shocking!

    It's ****ing dire.

At one point Kane was playing behind Rice and Mainoo - What the ****?
At another he hoofed a cross in from deep for Saka.

Kane you're meant to be upfront you bellend.

It's dire and awful and should/when we loose it will at least, hopefully mean Southgate is ****ed off out.

Yeah that really made me angry. Long ball from Kane over to Saka in the box, sailed over his head straight out.

Saka 5ft 9" v the Slovak back line.... all over 6ft.

Great idea pump the ball long upto Saka to challenge in the air! Pointless, clueless waste of space.

Mainoo should be no where near the squad let alone the first team. Gallagher is 10 x the player and he ain't that good.

Bellingham should be that position, beside Rice. Foden No.10 not a winger at all, certainly not a left sided winger. Saka useless.

Now the Slovaks are just being physical.

Imagine not testing Dubravka with a shot from the edge of the area.

Don’t get all the fuss about Mainoo from the pundits and media, oh of course he’s at Mainoo very ordinary player with the occasional forward movement, but most of the time slow and sideways or backwards, fits in well to this team then!

finally, a shot from the edge of the area beats Dubravka but hits the post on the 80th minute.

More luck than judgement. An undeserved victory against a very well organised and hard working Slovakian team. The 45th best team in the world ran England 'Tournament favourites' to the last 90 seconds of normal time.

Sometimes you need luck on your side but it's not good enough, Switzerland will not give us so many chances and know how to manage a game far better. It will need a much better performance to beat them.

Switzerland will eat us up playing like that.

I got to say - Mainoo has grown on me for England. He was at least willing to have shot on goal and he was fiesty. Felt like he offered more than most for most of the first half and chunk of hte 2nd.

Slovakia and Slovenia (45 and 47th ranked in the world, by the way) are well drilled teams. England look as though they met yesterday.
2 do a high press together with 2 who don’t - waste of time. Manager/coach’s fault. Very disappointed with Rice and Saka today. Very pedestrian, no urgency and no creativity.

aye he had a few shots, but we only had 2 shots on target the two goals.

He wasn't bad but Bellingham should be along side Rice and Foden or Palmer in the No.10.

Foden is ineffectual on the left.

But the team is being 'S'gated'.

Surprised A-Arnold wasn't playing as a shadow striker or as a sweeper. Wouldn't put it past the chinless clown
