    Scotlands answer to Route 66

I’m thinking of doing the North Coast 500 in August and for those of you that doesn’t know it’s a round trip along Scotland mostly along the coastal roads, has anyone done it before, any tips or advice or just follow my nose and see what happens?

We were going to do it but Covid got in the way. Be careful now though because it’s got VERY popular, long delays on the roads in some places, loads of tourists about and the natives are revolting. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/d...ffic-problems/

If it’s packed out with tourists and the local Mars batterers aren’t happy about it then I might leave it,tbh I thought thst it might be a gentle drive around Scotland dropping into local villages for tea and haggis sandwich

    Me too Chalky.

My honeymoon was in St Keverne (near The Lizard Point).

Last place I visited was Saint Mawes and The Roseland.

    The latter is highly recommended.
