From the games that I have seen I can’t say that there has been a side that will give you an easy ride in this competition. Perhaps only Scotland’s performance v. Germany could come into this category. Having said this, England have certainly underperformed but are still in there. I can’t put my finger on why we have not come up to expectations but let’s not put all the blame on Southgate although, yes, he has to shoulder some criticism. Switzerland look a decent enough outfit and this game won’t be easy, and as I have said, there are no easy rides in this competition.
