Would you start Kane on Sunday?

Besides getting a dodgy penalty and then scoring it, he didn’t impress me too much. It’s got to be time for someone like Watkins to make the starting line up. The only problem is that Kane is one of Southgate’s favourites and England captain, so I don’t see Southgate doing the decent thing and dropping him to the bench. Kane is England captain in name alone. I never see him speaking to other players or “ geeing them up” when things are going wrong. Personally, I don’t see Southgate changing anything drastically. It’s just that someone like Watkins would bring fresh impetus to the front line, and his work rate is so much better. We need someone to put pressure on the Spanish defence- Watkins for me, is the one to do so.

He's a national treasure is our Harry, no chance whatsoever of him getting dropped.

Southgate won't change anything for the final, not really the game to start experimenting

I get your point Mal Wayne I do - funny watched last night with my son and we were discussing second half we had regressed to crap sideways football again which I accept the Dutch changed shape and made it harder for us - we introduced a left back to bomb on that didn’t and we played all our football in front of their back line because Kane doesn’t have the legs to go in behind ( he shows deeper and links up play beautifully mind if we can get players of him ).

However the unlikeliest of subs was what means the lad asked for a Watkins to go in behind their back line and a supplier of the pass ( palmer ) - we got both and the rest is history.

I think Kane will start and if I’m honest in the shape we played first half I think Kane could have scored 3 yesterday and finished top scorer in the competition but we nullified him second half.

I said from the Ko I’d be surprised if we didn’t make the final two and we have so no reason we can’t win the game unless Gareth stops us playing attacking football.

Still hard to criticise a manager who has a final and two semis at international level before Sunday and also a pc puppet for the Fa to boot.

Good luck to him Sunday I say - as I said before to BT the stars were aligned for us.

He's had plenty of it so far, just hope he hasn't used it all up.

He has to pick Harry. He is expert at kicking opponents and then rolling around on the pitch to ensure that the VAR think that something untoward has occurred. Result, a penalty and a caution for the innocent party.
Strange thing is that not one English player appealed, referee was happy to give a goal kick until the third party intervention. Had that been at the other end, the British media would have been up in arms about a 'crooked' referee etc., etc. ad nauseam.
Only one player got kicked in the incident and it was not the one who rolled around for ever on the pitch.
    Harry will start.

I think Kane will come good in the final. we've been playing against some tight well drilled defenses but I reckon the final will be more open and will suit our Harry. Of course we will have to let Spain score first so I predict 3-1 with a brace for Kane.

Harry will start, absolutely 100%, no doubt about it. But Mal asks would you start Kane on Sunday and I wouldn't. It's still just a game of football, and I'd start the players with the best chance of winning it, and that doesn't include Kane. The lad is knackered, he's out on his feet, he can hardly raise a gallop and his close control is shot to pieces. Watkins is a far better starting option with Harry off the bench late on if necessary, but of course it won't happen, Gareth will start Kane.

Kane will start and I would not be surprised if Trippier starts at left back again. Gareth got his subs right v the Netherlands and he will probably look to stifle Spain & then change things up in the second half.
