It's an absolute embarrassment the leader of the so called free world hasn't got a clue as to what day it is or the time! The Democrats will force him to stand down otherwise Trump is a shoe-in. Biden's wife isn't helping as she's power mad and wants to remain in the White House.

35 Democrats now calling for Biden to quit. To be honest he’s being selfish not to quit as he’s too old to lead the most powerful nation in the world. Trump is too old but like Mrs Biden it’s the power ego.

Just hope there can be a younger Democrat to replace Biden who can beat Trump.

You would not allow him to drive a car in his condition and yet he leads the American people. Just another example of this world going mad.

Biden wasn’t fit for office 4 years ago.

I’m reminded of my own father in law who died from dementia a year ago at 93.

By the time he was 82 it was obvious he had dementia, just like his own father had before him so my mother in law and the family all knew what dementia looked like.

His driving was becoming increasingly dangerous, in Carmarthen he drove straight over a central reservation demolishing the bollards and ripping the sump out of his car leaving it like a beached whale.

“Sun was in his eyes” said mother in law!🙄

Then she admitted she had to press the indicators up and down for him as he’d forgotten where they were or how to do it.

She had to tell him when to turn right and left to get to their local shops half a mile away.

He couldn’t find his way from our kitchen to our downstairs loo ten feet away, he’d stand lost in our hallway without the brain power to deduce which of only three doors to go to to pee!

But still mother in law was in total denial as was my wife and sister in law for a long time.

My wife spoke quietly to her mum and dad about him giving up driving and they both responded by saying it was “his right to drive if he wants to”.

I was furious but banned from being involved in the conversation, I told them that driving is a privilege and not a right.

My wife’s brother died at 17 in a car crash due to him suffering a brain haemorrhage whilst driving, in the process a t e e n age girl he’d just picked up was made quadriplegic for life due to her injuries.

I couldn’t get my head around how they could be so selfish about him driving having experienced the damage that poor girl suffered in an accident that wasn’t anyone’s fault, I thought it selfish and lacking awareness.

In the end my wife went to his GP and told them of the concerns.

They did absolutely nothing and said it was up to the individual to hand their licence in, they couldn’t get involved FFS!

Eventually, after a visit to have his eyesight tested it was discovered he had macular degeneration in one eye and my wife and her sister used this to get him stopped from driving.

It’s the denial that gets me with dementia, most people can see it and know what it is yet people hide from it.

My wife hides from it because her dad and grandad both had it badly and at nearly 68 she would rather bury her head in the sand.

Personally, I refuse to do that.

My kids all know that they must be brutal with me if they see it in me.

If I get the chance I’ll get diagnosed early and then travel to Dignitas a couple of years before I reach the tipping point.

I look at Biden and see a man with less than five years to live, a few of them will involve him wearing a nappy, that is unless he’s already wearing one!

It’s an unacceptable state of affairs and reeks of self entitlement by him and his family, the same way it did for father and mother in law.

Agree with all that. Shocking and disgusting how your father in law was not stopped FFS. What if had killed a child and if it were my child then fingers would be pointed at those close to him. No time for anyone not fit to drive which includes those over the limit and on drugs.

GP's ( if you could see the f uckers ) should be more accountable ie forwarding their professional opinion to DVLC and employers. Same with pilots - any form of mental illness or suicidal tendencies in my view the GP should be allowed to contact the employer with a recommendation. Remember when that scumbag pilot with mental illness downed that plane full of kids? May he rot in absolute hell!

In fairness, I know people in their eighties or over who are as bright as buttons. Unfortunately, Biden is not one of them. In fact he actually looks and acts older than his years. As others have stated, I think it is extremely selfish for him to even consider continuing his pursuit of the Presidency. If he does then I can see Trump gaining a landslide victory. It will be difficult enough for a competent and younger candidate to beat Trump but Biden’s chance, absolutely nil.

Agree with you Leics! It's almost incredible that there are only 3 years between Biden and Trump-Sleepy Joe has certainly not aged well! My own Dad is 91 and he is far sharper mentally.

As you say, the Democrats are probably worried that putting forward a younger candidate at this late stage in place of Biden would likely gift Trump victory but sticking with him -especially given his ever increasing demonstrations of senility and frailty-will surely end with the same result. Moreover, I really do not see how they can morally still support his bid for the presidency given his health/mental capability issues.

I really dislike so much of what Trump stands for but the American people who share that view, and the Democratic Party especially, only have themselves to blame if he gets his second term.
