Nice relaxed interview. Some goods points and a fair bit of explanation about issues we (MAD) have been discussing.

Got fed up of hearing the management team... Other than that it was a load of bull sh*t

Enjoyed that. A nice wander through some important topics.

Thought SM came across well. Seems far more at ease with it all. Looking forward to the start of the season.

Thought that was a good interview and really enjoyed hearing more about his philosophy and him as a person. I was a vocal critic last year but am starting the season , giving him and the team 100% backing.

He's certainly learned the book of cliched stock answers. Let's see if he can walk the walk as well as talk the talk this season. He's even got Stall using "in the building". I think we should have a Magpie Circle video of "In The Building" so we can see what he, and his Management Team, are talking about.

But, for no clearly identifiable reason I don't feel overly confident. I suspect the Bros have a longer term view and will be prepared to tread water a bit this year in the hope they've picked a gem whilst generally beefing up the squad (I hope) and securing the non-footballing revenues for the future of the club.

They've been caught on the back foot a bit with the loss of LW and Macca even though they probably would have predicted one, or the other.

Whether you sit on the positive or negative side of the fence, you have to be worried by the lack of bodies. Currently and according to Stuart, neither Palmer and Tsaroulla won't be fit for few matches. That means we will have every fit player bar stone in the first 11 or on the bench and that includes Reynolds and hoping no other injuries.

It's highly likely we will pick up another injury so could well start with 1 or 2 junior players from academy on the bench. That has to be worrying.
